U.S. Air Force Medical Information Technology Transition (MITT) Last Mile Architecture (LMA)

Harris was recently awarded a contract by the U.S. Air Force to install, test, and turn over the MITT Last Mile Architecture system at 48 sites and other OCONUS locations. Part of the Air Force's "One Air Force, One Network" vision, this initiative has provided the opportunity for Harris to work closely with the USAF, medical providers, and military health system application providers to ensure a seamless medical data communications infrastructure. The infrastructure protects the privacy of medical traffic in accordance with the latest HIPAA constraints as well as segregates medical data from combat-oriented/sensitive data.

U.S. Air Force Air Mobility Command (AMC)

In 2004 Harris provided a standardized approach for certification, security documentation, and computer systems security audit functions as part of the U.S. Air Force Air Mobility Command's (AMC) Enterprise Security Support (ESS) program. As the USAF component of the U.S. Transportation Command, AMC is responsible for all air mobility. An important part of its mission is to provide aeromedical evacuation, airlift, air refueling, and special air missions for U.S. military forces.
