The OS/COMET® AR/Tool allows users to browse the archived information and retrieve selected information using the AR/Tool GUI (Graphical User Interface) or by implementing application specific software that calls the AR/Tool API (Application Program Interface) function.

The AR/Tool can:
Retrieve information from OS/COMET® recording files
Storage of the information into an archive
Process requests for retrieval of the archived information
Generate display and reports of the retrieved information

Operators will use AR/Tool to retrieve all information that the recording and logging facility is configured to record and generate reports and provide quick look analysis to investigate any real-time operation problems. Analysts can use AR/Tool to retrieve and analyze archived information and place the information into a file to be used as an input to a COTS data analysis tool.
