The TR/Tool is used in OS/COMET® to allow satellite control operators the ability to:

• Perform ranging contacts with a specific satellite
• Schedule ranging contacts to be performed in the future
• Perform calibration operations on the ground equipment string
• View saved ranging contact datasheets

It provides assistance to the satellite operator in the development and performance of calibration and ranging sessions. It provides CCL (OS/COMET® Control Language) directives used to configure ranging sessions and ranging contacts, a server to process incoming and outgoing data, and device controllers to interface to the ground equipment. It can also be used with user-developed shared library that contains an interface function used to provide details necessary to process and gather range data.

Complete user control over the TR/Tool functions, issued either on-line in the Commander GUI command line or in a Perform File, to fully manage ranging contacts, ranging sessions, and calibration.
