Description
The Model H-600 series multichannel acousto-optic modulators allow 32 independent beams to be modulated at data rates in excess of 20 Mb/s. Light from a coherent optical source is focused to multiple beam waists within the optical medium composed of low loss UV optical grade fused silica, and are proportionally directed into a primary intense diffraction order when an acoustic pulse is introduced by a suitable RF source. Each channel is driven by an independent RF source through a standard SMA cable interface connector.
Applications
Multichannel acousto-optic modulators are used to independently modulate an array of light beams for photolithographic printing, optical computing, and signal processing applications.
Highlights
Excellent performance is achieved through the use of high-frequency, bulk wave transducers and specialized fabrication techniques. High reliability is assured due to high vacuum application of alloy bonded transducers and low loss, ultra-hard, multilayer UV-qualified AR coatings.
