Harris’ FliteScene™ Digital Map is a feature rich, digital moving map software product that provides advanced situational awareness for the most demanding conditions faced by both military and civilian flight crews. It is designed to operate in generalpurpose, reconfigurable graphics hardware and to be hosted on a variety of airborne or ground-based systems. FliteScene™ supports a standard OpenGL interface that allows for seamless integration with COTS processors and graphic accelerators. When paired with Harris’ 6U VME graphics card, FliteScene™ provides the most exceptional performance attainable in any digital map system. This open-hardware approach provides a powerful digital map capability that can support any platform.

FliteScene™ has been combat proven on the AH-64D Longbow Apache and MH-47G Chinook helicopters and was chosen to be the U.S. Army’s standard airborne digital map. It is used on the AH-64D Longbow Apache, UH-60M Blackhawk, and CH-47F Chinook by the Army; the MH-47G, MH-60M, and AH/MH-6 by Army Special Operations Forces; the CH-53E and CH-53K by the USMC; and on the MH-60T by the U.S. Coast Guard.

FliteScene’s wide variety of features can also be effectively applied to civilian use applications, including law enforcement, fire, search and rescue, and any commercial platform that can benefit from real-time digital mapping and situational awareness. FliteScene is a continually evolving product, allowing it to grow and adapt to the changing needs of today’s military and civilian agencies.
