Harris has applied solid reflector and antenna solutions for military, civil and commercial satellites. We have leveraged our experience in large deployable antennas to develop deployable platforms with integrated antennas. Our design and analysis capability and experience supplier base allows us to provide a relatively simple plug-and-play interface. Harris has extensive facilities for manufacturing and testing antennas, including a PIM-Free Antenna Testing Facility and a near-field antenna test range. Our ongoing internal research continually produces advances in solid antenna technologies. Harris has applied this technology to International Space Station and is currently under contract to provide ten (10) steerable, solid graphite offset Ka-Band antennas per Wideband Gapfiller Satellite (WGS). The antennas provide the critical communications link to user terminals, enabling WGS satellites to securely transmit and receive digital-quality voice, data and imagery.
