Harris Corporation is supplying the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) with geospatial and imagery-derived products such as foundation data, mapping and charting production services, surveying services, and production management for the Global Geospatial-Intelligence (GGI) program. Harris is currently providing NGA with similar products and services under a program called OMNIBUS. GGI is the next-generation, follow-on program to OMNIBUS.
Harris has extensive experience in processing and combining multiple types of imagery and graphics into composite products, and we continue to advance the technologies used for image processing, data fusion, display, and digital product generation applications. The GGI program encompasses analysis and visual representation of security-related activities on the earth’s surface. This geospatial intelligence—derived from both commercial and government sources—is provided by NGA to policy makers, military decision makers, and warfighters. The imagery is also tailored to support civilian federal agencies and selected international organizations.
