Harris ImageLinks creates TrueTerrain™ visualization and simulation products by merging and mosaicking multi-source satellite and aerial imagery of different resolutions on an elevation surface to provide realistic geo-specific terrain features. This requires that all data is orthorectified, seamlessly co-registered, tonally balanced, and feather blended mosaics created from different resolution source data.

These extremely large data mosaics are then converted into unique format(s) and tiling structure(s) required by specific flight simulation image generators so that this data can immediately be ingested as "textural flight format" and used within simulators. This data is most commonly used in flight simulators for commercial and military training of airplane and helicopter pilots. However, higher resolution data is more commonly used (in conjunction with 3D models and ground features) for mission planning as well ground-based simulation of trains and light-rail, automobiles & armored vehicles, and individuals/troops.
