Harris has been the world industry leader in large aperture antenna solutions for military, civil and commercial satellites for over 30 years. We have developed and flown over 40 large aperture unfurlable antenna systems—far more than anyone else. Our reliability is demonstrated by continuous operation on orbit since 1983 on the Tracking and Data Relay Satellite (TDRS). Our extensive facilities for manufacturing and testing large deployable reflectors are the world’s largest, including a PIM-Free Antenna Testing Facility and antenna testing ranges. Our ongoing internal research continually produces advances in deployable antenna technologies. Harris has also applied this technology to the commercial space market by providing four 50-foot antennas that support mobile wireless communications via the Asia Cellular Satellite (AceS), and has also provided an antenna for the Japanese NSTAR-c and JC-SAT satellites.
