OASIS provides integrated weather briefing and flight planning capabilities for preflight weather briefings and inflight updates. This system features the Harris-developed, Weather Information Navigation Graphics Systems (WINGS) software application.
The OASIS system integrates real-time weather and flight planning data through a PC-based system that overlays flight routes on up-to-the-minute weather graphics, retrieves alphanumeric reports, and supplies current NEXRAD, satellite imagery from GOES, lightning data and icing images.
