IT Services Deployment and Training

Clients require the rapid deployment of servers, desktops, network devices, peripherals, and software to numerous offices worldwide. They often have limited time frames to ensure systems are up and running, require a deployment team to minimize impact on employee operations, and have peaks and valleys in their service needs. Harris Information Technology Services possesses years of experience successfully meeting those needs. We offer the following hardware and software deployment services our customers:

Product Research and Testing: Identify, test, and evaluate hardware and COTS products and use our research and development laboratory to evaluate products and prototype systems.

Optional Site Surveys: Determine hardware, network cabling, and physical space requirements for deployment.

Deployment Planning and Logistics: Use our dedicated Deployment Managers to: (1) prepares project plans and schedules, (2) coordinate logistics for shipment, travel, and deployment, (3) provide daily direction to staff, (4) prepare cut over checklists and (4) coordinate deployment activities with external parties including application developers and hardware suppliers.

Quickly Ramp-Up Resources: Experienced in quickly ramping up to meet urgent large-scale deployment needs and decreasing dedicated resources to sustain operations.

Control Deployment Baselines: Gain control of deployment baselines using certified engineering processes and automated tool sets.

Fast and Efficient Deployment: Obtain automated scripts to install operating systems and predefined templates for desktops/servers/devices, and use our Standard Operating Procedures to efficiently deployment systems.

On and Off-Site Training: Acquire comprehensive training programs that addresses varying levels of expertise, computer skills, and platforms delivered on or off-site.

Optional Remote Deployment: Decrease costs associated with having an engineer or technician visit a server or desktop, Harris Information Technology Services remote deployment capabilities enable engineers to take automatic control of the server or desktop to upgrade/repair software regardless of where the equipment is located.

Inventory Control and Depot Management

Harris Information Technology Services offers a depot management and inventory control option for our deployment engagements. Customers can temporarily send their equipment to Harris Information Technology Services depot, where the equipment is kept in a secure environment under tight configuration control. Upon receipt of equipment, information contained in the Purchase Order is added to our automated tracking system. The system tracks its origin, serial number, destination, shipping date, and owner. The equipment is sent to a staging area where it is configured and re-packed for deployment. If equipment received at the depot is damaged or has missing parts, a Depot Manager will ensure the equipment is returned to its company of origin and new equipment is expedited to the Harris Information Technology Services Depot. Harris Information Technology Services can arrange for overnight or standard replacements of parts.
