Calgary is the home of Government Communications Systems Canada (GCSC).

This facility provides full in-service avionics support to the Department of National Defence CF188 Program. GCSC has been selected as the sole service provider for CF188 Avionics Optimized Weapon System Support through to 2017 with options to 2020.  Support activities involve second and third level testing and repair of avionics and test equipment; subcontract; obsolescence; item; supply chain; configuration; and life cycle management along with engineering support activities.
